Terms of Service

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Overview

UrSetu ("we," "us," or "our") is a school operating system that connects families, schools, and communities. By accessing our website at ursetu.com or using the UrSetu platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. UrSetu is designed for parents, guardians, teachers, and school administrators. Children do not create accounts. All child profiles are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

By creating an account, you represent that you are of legal age and have the authority to agree to these terms.

Early Access Program

Signing up for early access is free and non-binding. During early access:

  • You may be assigned to a demo school environment with AI-powered interactions to explore the platform.
  • The demo experience is timeboxed and interactions are logged for quality and safety purposes.
  • AI-generated content in the demo is simulated and does not represent real people or schools.
  • Features, availability, and functionality may change without notice during the early access period.
  • You can request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@ursetu.com.

Account Responsibilities

When using UrSetu, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensure that any child information you enter is accurate and that you have the legal right to provide it

Acceptable Use

UrSetu is designed for school communities. You must not:

  • Post content that is harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or inappropriate for a school environment
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your school affiliation
  • Use the platform to harass, bully, or intimidate other users
  • Share other users' personal information outside the platform
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other schools or users
  • Use automated tools to scrape, collect, or harvest data from the platform
  • Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code

All user-generated content is moderated before display. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Content Ownership

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you create on UrSetu (posts, messages, photos). By posting content, you grant UrSetu a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and store that content within the platform for the purpose of providing the service.

Our content: The UrSetu name, logo, design, and platform software are the property of UrSetu. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our intellectual property without written permission.

Privacy & Children's Data

Your privacy and your children's privacy are fundamental to UrSetu. Our full Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect data. We are fully compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), including the 2025 amendments.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by emailing hello@ursetu.com. Upon deletion, all your data (including child profiles) will be permanently removed within 72 hours.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

Limitation of Liability

UrSetu is provided "as is" during the pre-launch and early access period. We make no guarantees about availability, features, or launch timing. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • UrSetu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any)
  • We are not responsible for the actions of other users within the platform

Dispute Resolution

We hope to resolve any issues informally first. If a dispute arises:

  1. Informal resolution: Contact us at hello@ursetu.com. We will try to resolve the issue within 30 days.
  2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing other remedies.
  3. Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Nothing in this section prevents you from filing a complaint with the FTC or your state attorney general regarding COPPA or privacy concerns.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
